- 15 chicken or turkey sausage franks
- 1 tube (13.8 ounces) pizza dough
- 5 cups water
- ¼ cup baking soda
- 1 large egg (beaten)
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick and cut it into 15 strips.
- Wrap each strip around a sausage frank tightly and pinch the ends to seal.
- In a pot over medium heat, bring water to a boil and dissolve baking soda in it. Boil each wrapped sausage for 20-30 seconds before placing them on the baking sheet.
- Brush each pretzel-wrapped sausage with beaten egg and sprinkle with kosher salt.
- Bake for 20-21 minutes until golden brown.
