  • 15 chicken or turkey sausage franks
  • 1 tube (13.8 ounces) pizza dough
  • 5 cups water
  • ¼ cup baking soda
  • 1 large egg (beaten)
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick and cut it into 15 strips.
  3. Wrap each strip around a sausage frank tightly and pinch the ends to seal.
  4. In a pot over medium heat, bring water to a boil and dissolve baking soda in it. Boil each wrapped sausage for 20-30 seconds before placing them on the baking sheet.
  5. Brush each pretzel-wrapped sausage with beaten egg and sprinkle with kosher salt.
  6. Bake for 20-21 minutes until golden brown.
