15 chicken or turkey sausage franks
1 tube (13.8 ounces) pizza dough
5 cups water
¼ cup baking soda
1 large egg (beaten)
1 teaspoon kosher salt
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick and cut it into 15 strips.
Wrap each strip around a sausage frank tightly and pinch the ends to seal.
In a pot over medium heat, bring water to a boil and dissolve baking soda in it. Boil each wrapped sausage for 20-30 seconds before placing them on the baking sheet.
Brush each pretzel-wrapped sausage with beaten egg and sprinkle with kosher salt.
