  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs

  1. Cook the elbow macaroni in salted boiling water until al dente (7-8 minutes). Drain and set aside.

  3. Gradually add the whole milk while whisking continuously until the mixture thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
  5. Combine cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce, ensuring every piece is well-coated.
