  • 2 chicken breasts (about 400g), thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¼ cup hot chili sauce (like sriracha)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 4 large tortillas or flatbreads
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce or cabbage
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • ½ cucumber, sliced into matchsticks
  • ½ red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch + 2 tablespoons water (slurry for thickening)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together chili sauce, honey, vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, and minced garlic.
  2. Mix cornstarch and water in another bowl to create a slurry.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and season with garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and soy sauce. Cook for about 6–8 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Stir in the cornstarch slurry until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Prepare all vegetables by washing and slicing them as desired.
  7. Warm tortillas briefly in a pan or microwave.
  8. Assemble wraps by adding mayo if desired, followed by lettuce, veggies, and chicken mixture.
  9. Roll tightly and slice diagonally for serving.
